Pre-requisites

• general familiarity with Astronomy and Physics at the undergraduate level.
• calculus, partial differential equations, and classical mechanics (advanced undergrad. level)

Evaluation

• For RD's part the evaluation will be based 1/3rds on the in-class discussion and 2/3rds on homeworks (including small computer projects).
• For DZ's part the evaluation will be based 2/3rds on the in-class discussion and 1/3rd on a written project proposal.
• Final exam: This will be a two hour written exam. Counts for 1/3 of the final grade. Dec 12.
