The Las Campanas Distant Galaxy Cluster Survey produced a catalog of clusters between redshifts of 0.3 and 1.1 over an area of about 130 sq. degrees of the sky (a 17 sq. degree strip in the north (+45 dec) and a 1.5 by 90 degree strip in the south (-12 dec)). We select clusters as low surface brightness fluctuations in the sky from drift scan images taken at the Las Campanas 40-inch telescope. Follow-up imaging and spectroscopy has been done at a variety of telescopes to confirm that a substantial portion of the high-quality candidates (greater than 60%) are clusters. The image on the right shows an HST image of one of our z ~ 0.8 clusters. See publications 20, 27, 48, 49, 51,52, 54, 55, and 56 for related publications.
